Exciting Updates from Tweetdeck

Tweetdeck has just released some exciting updates to its social media management software tool which will make life much easier for many people with small to medium businesses involved in social networks.

SCHEDULE UPDATES

Tweetdeck now allows you to schedule updates to many of your social networks by clicking the ‘clock’ button next to the ‘send’ button.   Schedule your future updates to the following networks:

• Twitter updates
• Direct Messages to Twitter followers
• Facebook Wall posts
• LinkedIn updates
• Myspace updates
• Foursquare check-in's

This is a handy tool to use when you are travelling or sometimes too busy to update your social media profiles.

VIDEO UPLOADING

Tweetdeck now enables you to allow you to upload videos. Videos are a great way to promote your business and your brand.  Use videos to introduce your new products, provide training videos or to show your customers what you are currently working on.

This can be achieved by two different methods:

• Drag and drop an existing video file into the 'compose update' window
• Recording directly from your webcam inside TweetDeck.

FOURSQUARE

Foursquare is the latest social networking craze and is becoming more and more popular in Australia.  Foursquare users update their friends on their location and provide tips and recommendations on places to go or to eat.  Foursquare users can also make the most of special discounts offered by the many businesses listed with Foursquare.

Foursquare will probably end up becoming another great promotional tool for small businesses in Australia so make sure you investigate it soon.

TweetDeck allows you to add your Foursquare account  and subsequent location column.  You can keep track of what your friends are doing and where they are ‘checking in’ on Foursquare.
